Psalm 119

This week's Come Follow Me invited us to take Psalms 119 which has 176 verses and focus on the verses with the words walk, path, way, feet and wander.

As I did this I was reminded of an experience that I have had a couple of months ago.

I am finding it more and more challenging to navigate in the dark. I had gotten lost in the dark and I believed that the car was having engine problems so I parked it next to the Auto part store on the corner of 36th West and 54th South and told myself I knew my way home from there.

Instead of staying in the main roads I decided to go through the subdivision. It didn't take long for me to realized that I was lost again. The streets were dark and becoming scary but then I prayed and I felt that a light was before me.

15. I will meditate in thy precepts and have respect unto thy ways

27. Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wonderous works.

30,  I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgements have I laid before me.

32. I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shall enlarge my heart.

37. Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

104-105. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

My prayer is that I will always rely on the Lord and his commandments to keep me safe in this ever darkening world we are in. I also pray that all my friends will remain safe by keeping on the Covenant Path.
